    How Safe is your Collection

Disclaimer: I realize the following may not be practical or within budget for everyone, but... A built-in vault room in a basement is the most secure you are going to get at home. There are a few I am aware of in homes built in the last 20 or so years by friends/family. Most basements around...

    OM Blackhawk .41 questions

The reason for Ruger going to the prefix serial number system was indeed the Gun Control Act of 1968. It required every firearm a manufacturer produced to have a unique serial number, as of 1/1/1969. The prefix system was Ruger's way of accomplishing this. Prior to this, there would be mutiple...

Is 40S&W becoming an obsolete caliber?

I agree that there are too many out there for .40 S&W to become obsolete. I only have one myself, a KP944, which is the first Ruger semi-auto centerfire I ever owned. Bought in 1997, IIRC. Good grief, it just hit me that I've owned it 25 years now! I think I need a moment... I know that some...

Anyone make grips like these for the GP100?

Two comments: 1) I'm happy this thread came back up, because I wasn't spending any time on here a year ago, and I never would have seen these photos. 2) LSCG, those are outstanding! That is by far the best looking set of grips I have ever seen on a GP, bar none.

    F/S Ruger 20 gage O/U

Very nice offering! I managed to find and purchase a 12 gauge Red Label Sporting Clays model in December 2021, but haven't yet made time to get it out & bust some clays. Bump for a beautiful Red Label.

    Another Red Eagle

That is a truly outstanding package! Beautiful condition, 1949-shipped, and with the box/instruction sheet - doesn't get much better than that for a Red Eagle.

    OM .357 Flattop Grip Question

Hmm... OM .357 4-5/8" flat top, great finish, a bit of plum, stag grips. ;) :giggle:

    OM .357 Flattop Grip Question

That is a very late flat top. Agree, it's hard to tell with Ruger. That said, varnished walnut should have been standard at that time. 41244 (my FIL's) has them, and he is only the second owner.

    SPF: 4 5/8" 45 OM BH

Nice offering! Have to agree with hittman, checks all the boxes. If I hadn't purchased one of these in similar condition, with full box/manual package from a fellow RF member ~16 months back, I'd be all over this!

OM SBH - a bit of an oddity

Agreed! I posted only to point out the "odd factor" miss-mark. "Average condition" is a kind enough assessment. I have no intention of placing a bid, it was just something that caught my eye, and that I thought someone here may also find of interest. It's hard to say how common or uncommon...

OM SBH - a bit of an oddity

Just goofing around on Gunbroker, and saw this listing: Ruger 'Old Model' Blackhawk - 3-Screw .44 Magnum - 7.5" Barrel - 1962 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/919529776 Looking past the safety conversion and rubber baby buggy bumpers, this is clearly an OM SBH, with protected rear sight...

    Got the Hots for a GP-100 ...

I absolutely love my KGP-141. All stock, except for a Hogue grip, which works well for me. It's the last handgun I would let go of.
