Ruger LCR Hi Viz sight install with pics

I didn't have a chance to shoot it over the weekend, with the holiday and all. I'll get to the range this week and check the POI. 1 1/2" left at 25 feet . . . hmm. Are you shooting it from a bench with a rest? The reason I ask is usually left hits are indicative if trigger control. And...

Ruger LCR Hi Viz sight install with pics

Got my new Hi Viz front sight for the LCR. I was going to have it installed by a gunsmith, but decided it seemed simple enough to do myself - and it was. I think things would go a bit easier with a padded vice. I did it all on my kitchen table, and it probably took 30 minutes or less...

New LCR Hi Viz front sight

DeSantis Nemesis. My only complaint is it's a bit difficult re-holstering in the pocket, as this holster does not remain open very well. I guess that's the trade-off for great concealability though.

New LCR Hi Viz front sight

Thanks for the info. fordm67. USMCXD, I haven't had the LCR for very long (a few months) and am quite new to revolvers, but my review so far is this gun is awesome! If you read and research this gun, you'll know what to expect. The +P loads are bit snappy, but the recoil is manageable and...

LCR - is it really Concealable in the Pocket?

I have been experimenting with pocket-carrying the LCR for about a month. What I've found is that often the butt of the grip is visible in the pocket opening, toward the rear bottom of the opening. I've tried a few different pocket holsters (DeSantis Nemesis, Galco Pocket Protector, Uncle...

New LCR Hi Viz front sight

Did you install it yourself? Was it difficult? I ordered a green one and am awaiting arrival . . .

Removing barrel from LCR for 22LR conversion

Contender - thank you for the welcome. We're veering off-topic here but wanted to clarify my post: If muscle memory is the objective, why shoot any ammo at all? Get some snap caps and practice the draw, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control. This will be cheaper than .22 ammo. My...

Removing barrel from LCR for 22LR conversion

"Practicing" what, exactly? Shooting a modified .22LR LCR at stationary paper targets is a great, economic consideration for building or reinforcing the foundations of proper grip, sight aligment, sight picture, trigger control, follow through, etc. Remember, howwever, that it has absolutely...

    replacement front sight for LCR??

That is actually a Standard Dot XS Sight. Aftermarket fitting the Big Dot doesn't work on an LCR, according to them, as it is too large to accommodate the proper sight aligment. That said, XS Sights are an EXCELLENT product, and considered by many hands-down the best sight for fast acquisition.
