I just picked up a like new, 4" 1974 stainless Security Six. It came with the red box and manual. I paid $575. It may seem high but I've always wanted a 1974 (birth year). It's going to be my woods sidearm. Just have to pick up some Underwood 180 gr.

300 of the same loads or different loads? Try different loads. Try a rest. Have another shooter try all the same.

I like the style of these grips but usually have issues with a gap.

I have a black Don Hume belt holster with thumb break that's made for a 2". The 4" will stick out the bottom. It also has an open trigger guard. Your wife can try it out if she would like. [email protected]

I use Buffalo Bore tactical short barrel .357 140 gr. JHP in a 2".

I just like to have older revolvers checked out. You never know what someone has done to them. I would use is for carry so I would prefer factory springs. I see on the Ruger site that they won't work on Security Six model, I'm assuming that includes the entire series. I will try to find some...

I'm thinking of buying a lightly used Speed 6 and want to have it checked out, replace springs and such. Would you send it to Ruger or another top revolver gunsmith?
