Welcome to the forum! I don't have any knowledge about the Target Lite model but i do have the Take Down Lite model that i love. I haven't shot it a whole lot but it handles very nicely and it shot accurate enough for me to be satisfied. I am using a Bushnell TRS25 red dot on it.

Does anyone know if there is a reasonably priced way to put plain old iron sights on a Ruger 10/22 takedown lite model? I am interested in the TD lite 10/22 but the old school in me wished it had iron sights. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Do you know if the trigger spring is the original one or has it been replaced with a lighter one? It could be the spring is too light. If you know how to take your SP101 apart, you can smoothe out the action of the trigger and the tunnel where the trigger spring is located...
