Just read the "Mini 14 question" about using .223 or 5.56 and it got me wondering about my #1 in .223 . My instruction manual says .223 only but I have and still do use both .223 and 5.56 and have noticed no difference between the two. So what say ye safe or not?

I'm left handed and I carry at the appendix using the Gould & Goodrich belt holster found at the Shop Ruger site. It works well for me.

In a self-defense situation over penetration is probably the last thing I would be worrying about. I would be more concerned about where the shots that missed completely went, assuming of course that I survived the encounter.

A case is usually 5000 rounds or 10 bricks. RWS target was all I ever used when I was shooting smallbore silhouette. It shot great for me.

Seems like it could be a real "safety" issue for someone who doesn't know about the change. Some guys like release triggers on their shotguns for trap but I think they're kinda scary too.
