Traded in my two MKIIs and now have two 3 22/45s. One is the heavier barrel with rails. I put a Romeo red dot on one of the light barrel ones. Kept iro n sights on the others. I'm 76 so decided to go with the easier assembly. I have three grandkids so it made me feel better having three!
It screwed up the barrel in my MKII target.
Cleaning rod got stuck in the barrel trying to clean it out. Had to send to Ruger. They replaced the pistol at a cost...I'll never use that ammo again!
Great. I hope everything turns out great for you.
I have sent two MKIIs in the past 2 yrs and both were repaired and parts replaced to make them like new.
The most expensive part of the whole deal was the mailing costs!
We shoot our Rugers a lot.
They sent me a letter with the cost to repair and then I called them up and gave them a credit card number. It was shipped UPS and arrived about a week later.
