Sadly, I have surrendered to big recoil

I went from PAST to Limbsaver slip on's to muzzle brakes. A good muzzle brake will reduce felt recoil tremendously......at the cost of increased muzzle blast. Yes friend.....try an AR 10..... .308 or 7.62X51. Much less recoil and a whole lot of fun to shoot. Especially with a brake on.

    RPR wait time

I ordered my Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor as soon as they started taking orders at my LGS, here in So. Cal. I was the 6th person to order one at my particular store. After I plunked down my deposit they told me a 2-4 months wait. Subsequent people were being told 4-6 months and then...

Ordered a Ruger Precision Rifle in 308 today.

Looks good. The rings look high to me....might just be the angle of the image though. What are those...highs? Maybe with the next size down you could get the scope closer to the bore axis without the bell kissing the hand guard.

Me too.....I got one in 6.5 Creedmoor. Can't wait. I hope that Ruger is going to be up for the demand on these rifles and that QC will be tight. It will suck if only the trick one's they sent the media, really have accuracy. As far as the optics. How far do you want to shoot? Under $500 is...

    My Rugers

Thank you everyone! This was a good price right, contender? I went in to my LGS and was about to leave when the store clerk there, who I get on with well, mentioned that they had this Ruger 44 Magnum Carbine that came in and that they weren't even going to put it out until they asked a couple...

    My Rugers

My Rugers. All the rifles I bought very recently….the 10/22's just about 2 weeks ago-a used scoped, "walnut and steel" 1979/1980 model and a brand new 50th Anniversary $99 Black Friday special. The 1963 Carbine I got for $200 in the last 2 months or so. The semi-auto handguns I have had going...

Is it possible to use 210 gr in Ruger semi 44 mag

Mr Tool……..I'm sorry about your friend. I've been through that a couple few too man times and I never get used to it. I had jamming troubles with my new to me 44 Carbine on it's first time out. I feel it was the SJHP bullets. That lead tip seems like it might not be the greatest for feeding...

    FTE and FTF

Thanks vhntr1. Yeah I have had it apart twice. Once when I got it and before I shot it. Right now it is completely disassembled. The only mechanical issue I can find is the roll pin in the tube/spring guide is 1/2 gone……broken in 1/2. It is the one all the way at the end that holds in the plug...
