went through this with a 1989 vintage 12g red label. Briley has them ( they are Winchester threaded) flush choke. I then added Carlson extended chokes too!

Well done ! Was giving that a hard look! I felt just as lucky when I found a 12 gauge red label for sale on the forum! Might be a blessing having the fixed chokes! I’m up over 200 bucks on chokes on the Briley website! Lol

Briley chokes arrived and fit like a glove! No more excuses… lol

Figure I’d update! Pretty much just had to bump the action over my knee and “whalla “ she opened. Little clp and now comes apart smoothly! It came with just the two chokes that were installed. I removed them to give them a little oil and looked for a marking of what choke size they were. Well...

Yep action opens with fore end on. Opens and closes ,no problem.

Before I mussel anything , taking the shot gun down question. Remove fore end ,check. Now what? I can’t get the barrels to break using the lever. It’s a new to me shotgun. Any help appreciated!
