    Single-Six Hunter Accuracy problems (long)

This sounds familiar. I can shoot lights out with my other guns, but could not shoot my old Single Six Hunter. The gun was cosmetically perfect, but I sold it because the accuracy was unacceptable. These guns are convertibles. The barrel diameter is made for .22 mag, not .22 lr. .22 lr...

AcuSport--Ruger 10/22 Light Varmint Target rifles

Quick question: Do the mid-weight barrels fit on stocks that are built for .920 " barrels? I thought I read that the midweight barrels start at .920" and taper to .720 at the muzzle. Is this true?

GUNBLAST.COM Review of new Ruger American Bolt Rifle

It would be great if Ruger developed a stainless steel Rimfire version of this rifle, as well. Again, I'd like to see iron sights on the rifle. If they can put together a .22 lr/.22 magnum convertible, I'd love it even more...

GUNBLAST.COM Review of new Ruger American Bolt Rifle

Give the rifle iron sights with all stainless parts and I'm 100% in. I'd get mine in .308 win and be a very happy camper. A few years ago, I was a little critical of Ruger. The last year or so has been incredible, in my mind. They've released about 5 guns that I was excited about. I'll...

Mini 14 or Mini 30? Which would you choose?

I don't have either the mini-14 or the mini-30. I do like them and plan on getting a Mini-14 at some point. I like the AR-15 design, but it looks like an assult rifle. Non gun people might overeact to seeing one, so I want something that looks more tame. I've read that the barrel on the...

    NEW SP101 4" .357 Mag

I love it. I wish I was in a position to buy a few more guns. I've been down on Ruger recently, but they've started making guns that interest me again. I need a start making good money, again. My bonuses have stunk and my gun money is absent. As soon as I get more money, I'm going to start...

Hogue grip for SP101 fit the new .22 SP101?

Pictures? It'll be some time before I get mine...

Poll: Which grip on new .22LR SP-101 ?

I for one prefer the peg-style GP100/SP101 grips on my revolvers because I can grip the guns better. I had an Redhawk and a Single Six and I sold them both. I just couldn't warm up to those other grips. If you don't like the peg grips, you are entitled to your own opinion. Just don't be...

    10/22 Top Five survival Rifle

I liked your list so much I thought about what mine would be. Here it goes: 1. M&P 9, TS (Defense sidearm for the wife) 2. M&P 45, TS (Defense sidearm for me - with Buffalo bore 255 grain FNHC, it doubles as a woods gun. According to Buffalo bore, the normal pressure version penetrates 27"...

    Mini-30

I've heard that the Mini-30 was designed for .308 bullets, not the Russian .311. If you shoot the cheap, Russian ammo, you will increase the pressure in your gun to unsafe levels. I've heard that the reason for the ignition issues is to prevent people from shooting the Russian ammo that...

    DEER CAN JUMP

When I was a kid, I watched a deer jump over one of the fences in my parent's old property. What shocked me was the the fence was just over 7 feet tall, with barbed wire. The deer cleared the fence with ease. I wouldn't have believed it unless I would have seen it myself.

    10/22 and 77/22 trigger materials

Just curious about something. Does anyone know what materials the trigger mechanism is made of for the stainless models? Are the materials mostly aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic? Is this the case, or is there blued steel as well? How about the 77/22 stainless model?

    Considering a GP 100...

It is a much better gun than any of your Ruger autoloaders. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that I think that it is one of best all around handgun made. Maybe not the best defense gun, but if you consider defense, plinking, woods carry, and hunting in the lower 48 states, it should serve...

    Convertible 77/22

Sorry. The guns have extra barrels and other accessories that allow for barrel swaps between calibers. They aren't true "convertibles". I probably should have been more specific. Does anyone know if this can be done with the current lineup of 77/22s and 77/17s?

    Convertible 77/22

I've recently been looking into getting a bolt action rimfire rifle. While looking around, I noticed something interesting. Several manufacturers are now offering convertible bolt actions. The Sako Quad is convertible between .22lr, .22mag, .17 Mach2, and .17 HMR. I've also recently noticed...
