Very interested, sent pm

I got a new Mark 4 target blued this past Saturday with a 500 serial number. I see no detent or end label. Nothing that indicates any recall was done to it. No S on the white safety dot either. Guess they are not marking post 500 pistols.

Also, it looks like it may have checkering on the stock. At least in the pic I'm looking at. Is the stock checkered front and back?

Got a question about this rifle. Is this basically a regular 10/22 that was made in 1976?

What kind of leather is this? Horse or cow? Or do they call it regular or premium? I am interested in buying it. How is the retention?

Never seen one like this. It does not have the inserts. Wonder when they made these? Looks like a polymer version of the original Zytel version. But, yes that is what is normally referred to as the boat paddle stock, just a slightly different version.
