Is it safe to fire .38 rounds out of a .357, or will it damage the revolver?

I have a Ruger Blackhawk .357 convertible, with the interchangeable cylinder I can shoot 9mm so three rounds out of the same barrel, you can look up the bullet sizes. I have never used the 9mm cylinder yet, but nice to have it.

Ruger pc 4 carbine 40 caliber awesome gun

I never had a pistol caliber carbine till about 5 years ago as here in Texas, they really aren't practical but sometimes when I go in deep brush after hogs they come in handy. I bought an old Ruger .44 mag carbine and soon after a M77 in .44 mag...fun guns to shoot with lots of knockdown power...

    Ruger 44 Carbine

I have one, it is marked Ruger Carbine .44 magnum cal. I looked up serial #, I think it was manufactured early 80s. Neat carbine I use for hogs in the brush. I bought it out of an estate sale for $500 about 5 years ago, somebody at one time chromed the barrel, not stainless but chromed. It...

    77/44?

I live in Texas, my part has some thick woods full of hogs and some really long shots over 500 yards if you want. I bought an M77/44 specifically for hogs in the creek bottoms and around tanks, some really thick brush. I fell in love with it, never thought I'd have a use for such a carbine...

info for M77 with 71 series serial number

this Ruger has no sights, standard Ruger base. I have heard something about Ruger M77s being built with barrels that were notoriously innacurate.... Wilson barrels maybe?

info for M77 with 71 series serial number

I found a box of new Hornady 117 grain SSTs, gonna fire off a few rounds through it, will experiment with whatever other ammo I can find, Remington Core Lokts seem to be here and there, the old owner told me had only used the round nosed Remingtons and was happy with them, he owned 3 Ruger .257...

    Mini 14

Minis are literally a hit and miss but I love them, got one over 30 years old pencil barrel that shoots nice groups till it heats up, also got a new series 581 Tactical with a scope will shoot 1 1/2" at 100 yards, they are just fun to shoot and yes you don't want to be in a metal deer blind...

info for M77 with 71 series serial number

I acquired an old M77 serial number starting with 71, so circa mid 70s with the tang safety. I know they had a recall on them because they might go off accidentally, the old man I bought it from is not familiar with this, guess will have to contact Ruger see if the original owner applied for...

    #3 .44 magnum serial numbers

I could kick myself in the ass, I had No. 3s in .223 and .22 Hornet years ago, sad to say they did not shot good and I sold them...wish I had kept them anyway...hindsight is 20-20.

.44 Carbine 'new to me' and PHOTOS

I got a .44 carbine the marking is simply Ruger Carbine .44 magnum cal I bought it a few months ago and someone apparently did a nickel plating job on the barrel. I have been shooting the .240 grain Winchesters only but lately having jamming problems even when chambering the first round...
