Good question. I don't know and I don't have any Ruger rings to try. My guess is that this gun started life as longer barrel gun, and was cut down to 5" as part of the work done by Reeder.

I picked up a Reeder Custom Redhawk in 45 Colt from an estate sale. The seller didn't know much about it, and neither do I. What I do know is the fit and finish is superb, action buttery smooth, and the trigger just amazing. The muzzle has very deep crown. I would love to learn more...
