I just got back from test shooting the 44 , I shot only 18 rounds (240gr Rainier hp over 22.5gr IMR 4227) and had to retighten the ring and base screws, but after a couple of adjustments I was cutting the same hole. So I'll back out the screws one at a time and apply a little nail polish as well...

Ok , finally got the Ultra-dot sight today. It took awhile to get it from Optics Planet but its here. Mounted with Ruger rings. Ruger super redhawk 44 mag. 9 1/2 " bbl. I can't wait to sight it in.

I worry about recoil knocking it out of whack , I currently have a burris 3-12 handgun scope on it now but even 3 power is a bit much magnification at 50 and less yards.

yes 240gr, I must have 45acp on the brain. :shock: Contender, these loads I use right now are very accurate out of that 9 1/2" bbl. Thanks everyone for your help on this. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I'll harvest a couple deer this year with it. :)
