TMJ Trading is a good price if their shipping is reasonable. ($1340) On Point Firearms had them in-stock for $1409. I paid $50 more because at the time it was not stocked everywhere yet at I think like $1450 plus ship and FFL fees.

see my posting above if you want to order one online. D&D usually keeps fresh new stock as they sell out all the time so you should be getting a newer mfg date. no way to match up serial number unfortunately. have not seen any correlation (see serial number thread on here).

cool did hers come with the later carrier group? there are pics on here of the 3 types. one with no additional material, one with looks like 2 sections added, and one with a smooth single section added...

that was a first batch issue from what I read. I guess they fixed it. so as long as you buy a recently built SR-556 then you should be fine. the newer SR-556 have the slightly different carrier group and the fixed pin issue.
