    Bisley Blackhawk Trigger Reset Problem

I have a couple of reduced power trigger and hammer springs on the way from Wolff. Are you refering to trigger creep or take-up, and what do you suggest to reduce or eliminate.? CB

    Bisley Blackhawk Trigger Reset Problem

Dick Thank you. Actually Jimbo solved my problem. It turns out the Trigger Spring pivot pin is missing. I installed a makeshift pin and all is working fine. I noticed the pin hole in the grip frame but since the gun was new assumed it didn't have a pin there, and my 70 year old eyes missed it...

    Bisley Blackhawk Trigger Reset Problem

EUREKA!!! Jimbo you win the prize for solving my problem. The Trigger pivot pin is indeed missing. I installed a makeshift pin and all is now OK. I noticed the hole in the grip frame and it did occur to me that a pin should be there and but my 70 year old eyes missed it on the tiny print...

    Bisley Blackhawk Trigger Reset Problem

Some additional info: If I cock and dry fire, the tigger doesn't reset unless I slightly cock the hammer again. Also if I fully cock the hammer and then squezee the trigger while slowly lowering the hammer with my thumb the trigger resets OK

    Bisley Blackhawk Trigger Reset Problem

Thank you for your response. The trigger spring hooks are over the tabs but when the hammer is down the spring moves rearward and the hooks move rearward off the tabs. When the hammer is cocked the spring moves forward and the hooks then engage the tabs.

    Bisley Blackhawk Trigger Reset Problem

Thanks for your response. The gate detent spring is in place as it should be. The trigger spring hooks are over the pin, however when the hammer is down (uncocked) the hooks move rearward off the pin. When the hammer is cocked they move forward to engage the pin. Is that correct?

    Mk III trigger issue

Craig, Thank you for your clarifying post. I hope the mods work well for you. I have the Mark II hammer bushing, Volquartsen trigger and sear on order. I hope I can be as adroit as you at getting it all installed. At my age (69) my eyesight, manual dexterity, and patience are somewhat...

    Mk III trigger issue

Very interesting...where does the Mark II hammer bushing go in the gun? Right or left side of the hammer??? Does it replace the existing hammer bushing or is it an addition? Thank you
