    SBH Accuracy Problems ---Update 3/28/11

I had the same accuracy problems with a 45 colt in a regular blackhawk. I let several friends try with the same results. After several frustrating sessions at the range, and a lot of ammo, I finally sent it back to ruger. It took thirteen weeks to get it back, but it was worth the wait. They...

Pet load for sbh 45 colt

I just aquired a sbh in 45colt and wondered if anybody had a load they worked up specifically for the sbh in 45 colt. I am not new to reloading and am basically looking for a good starting point, as to save time and expense. Looking for a good accurate hunting load.

Look what I bought myself for Christmas!

Nice choice, I started on the same thing, and over the years, have added a few things, made a few small changes, but have never wanted for anything more. After many thousands of rounds the RCBS is still going strong. Enjoy

    blackhawk front sight

I bought a 45 colt 4 5/8 barrel that was so far off to one side the rear sight could not be moved far enough to compensate. I sent it back four weeks ago and have not received it back from ruger yet, but will post results when I do.

    Rugers most ACCURATE revolver?

Like always, Contenders advice was spot on, and then I'll add practice, practice, practice. The one big thing in this day and age we live in, is the availailabilty of ammo, and the price, if you reload it gives you a few more options. One of my most accurate, and certainly the most fun to shoot...

    SRH in .454 Casull???

First of all welcome to the forum. I shoot a 454 as well as a couple 0f 44 mags, size really has nothing to do with it, my 120# grandson has shot as many as 60, 300 grain 454s with accuracy, at one session. Hey, I say buy what you want and have fun. A word of caution on shooting 45s through the...

Ruger Hawkeye in 222 Rem Uncatalogued ??

I bought my M77 MK11 222, from Little crow shooting sports Mn, new in Dec of 08, serial No.792-13244. The label looks exactly like Heavy Barrels. I called Ruger shortly after I purchased the rifle to confirm the twist-rate, 1-9, which I found odd. Ruger found my serial number, confirmed the twist...

    Guns not shooting POA

Sarge, I feel your pain, I have a 45, 43/8 in and a 30 carbine, that you cannot adjust the rear sight far enough one way to hit the point of aim, I knew that on both of them the front sightmount was off center but figured I could work it out. I ended up contacting ruger, and they sent me a...

Thoughts on the .222 remington (not magnum)

I currently shoot a m77 mk11 in 222 "uncatalogued item" This gun is extremely accurate, and like Contender, I have taken dogs out past the 600 yard mark with it. They are easy to reload and components are readily available for it. If you are interested, Davidsons still had about 27,Hawkeye all...
