    Anybody familiar with formaldehyde?

After 15 re-writes, I knew I was close to submitting my thesis when my Committee Chair was in the circulating edit mode (back to my original wording!) I FOOLISHLY submitted my thesis and went to Yellowstone with my wife!

    Anybody familiar with formaldehyde?

Heard a USFS Biologist say that a grad student was the cheapest form of labor=they had to do what you said and you didn't have to feed them!! (Hey, can I get reparations?)

I'm not that fanatical ab out it. Neither the cost nor the effort is justifiable to me. Thanks, anyway!

Ruger AR 556 MPR with the 18 inch Barrel

Just ordered one but all they had was the 16.1" barrel. Will be here Wed. I don't care for the folding stock=is there any add-on fixed stocks available? (I'm old school and learned on a G.I. M-16)?

    Anybody familiar with formaldehyde?

I was that way about evening classes (I am a morning person) but grad school gave me no choice. Hated a 7-10PM seminar followed by an 8AM class the next day

    Black powder lingered awhile........

The Op was about black powder arms, rifles and pistols, we should stay on topic. On the contrary, cartridge firearms were pretty common, both rimfire and centerfire: For "buffalo rifles", I'll refer you to: "Buffalo Cartridges of the American Frontier" By Chuck Hawks and for lever rifles...

    Black powder lingered awhile........

I have read that many old-timers considered muzzle-loaders to be more reliable than early cartridge arms. Remember "Wild Bill" Hickock carried Colt Navies well into the cartridge period!

    Which canning system to buy?

I agree. I got into canning when we moved to Washington. Do about 15 jars of blackberry jams, a dozen each of pickles, peppers, salsas (red, green, Hatch and enchilada) and LOTs of spaghetti & pizza sauce (about 2 dozen quarts in a good year). It's not rocket science=just do a good...
