    10/22 Accuracy Tune

Agree with fixing the terrible triggers on stock 10/22s. Mine felt like a rocky 7.5 pound break. Sent it off to Brimstone. Came back with a 1.75 pound crisp break. Accuracy naturally improved significantly...

    10/22 trigger fix

I had Brimstone do a Tier 2 trigger rebuild for my 10/22. I believe it was $70 or so. The trigger now breaks @ 1.75 pounds and is great for target shooting. Bayou52

    SR1911 Govt Model Recoil Spring

It should be an 18 pound spring for that model. I buy them off of shopruger.com for my SR1911 standard size. Here is the description: “18 lb. Spring. Part # FF02810. Does not fit the Commander style models. Genuine Ruger® Factory Accessory.” BAYOU52

    Early ruger security six info

Excellent finish on that specimen. Congrats! I've shot 10s of thousands of rounds out of my 1979 vintage Sec Six. Still looks, feels and shoots like it's right out of the box. Bayou42

    Service Six Bent(Slightly) Ejector Rod

FYI - One idea would be to not use pliers directly on the ejector rod. Rather, you can wrap the rod in a piece of leather or with a piece of small rubber hose and use the pliers on top of that. I also know of someone who put the ejector rod between a wooden clothes pin and grasped that with...

    Getting into .30-30 Winchester

I load 30-30 and also use the Hornady FTX 160 grain projectiles shot out of the same Marlin. I use Hodgdon LVR powder @ the load recommended on the label of the powder cannister: 35.5 grains. This produces a MV of 2390 FPS. These things are real deer slayers! Bayou52

SPF: Boxed .357 Mag Redhawk (original 6-shot) 7.5" from 1984

I've got the exact same model (not a consecutive serial number). These revolvers are outstanding shooters and whoever buys this one will have zero regrets. Good luck with the sale! Free bump! Bayou52

    Redhawk value

Off of GB, I bought a 1984 vintage RH, 7.5" tube, 357, not new in box but with box, original papers and in excellent condition - had a turn line but that was the only finish wear - with extremely tight lock-up (like a bank vault) and absolutely zero end-shake. That was 2 years ago. Price was...

    Smith Highway Patrolman

I've got one 28-2, and I'm more accurate a shooter with it than with any other of my handguns. I ditched the much too small (for me) magna grips in favor of target sized dress whites. Pics:
