The guy at Ruger told me the only convertible sold around that time was the Super Single Six and that one had adjustable sights.
While the .22 mag cylinder is nice to have I don't suspect that it, when installed, would shoot POA without some "Kentucky windage" given that the fixed sights are...
I found this old model Ruger Single Six. It's in great shape. Varnished walnut stocks and steel ejector rod housing. I'd rate the blue and ionization at 99%. XR-3 Frame.
It came with a .22 Magnum cylinder numbered to the revolver. It also had the transfer-bar upgrade.
The serial is 191643...
I came across a used five round mag that is obviously a Mini-30 mag but the floor-plate reads Mini-14. Of course it won't fit in my Mini-14.
Was it some sort of early Mini-30 mag?
I suppose you could but you would not be able to mold it to the shape of the revolver. I don't even notice the weight (14.1 oz. for just the rig with six cartridges) when I put it on as it's only 1 pound-14.1 ounces total weight for the rig and the loaded revolver.

I thought this might be of some interest to LCRx 3" owners that, like myself bought the revolver for a lightweight field/woods gun and found that commercial holster selection for that task so far leaves a lot to be desired.
