SR 1911 CMDR&Wilson Mags

ordered some Wilson 47OX Standard 7 rd Mags. They will not lock in place. Call Wilson?

I looked up Wilson's "47OX Standard 7 rd Mag".
From what I could tell, it seems that that particular magazine is specifically for an "Officers Model".

Commanders take the same mag as the Government Model.
The mag for an Officers Model is shorter, which also means that the distance between it's latch-grove and it's base plate is shorter......so nope, it aint going to latch into place in your gun.

Me thinks that what you need is their #47 Mag.
Give 'em a call and see if they'll swap.

They will not lock in place.

That's because they are a half inch too short, and the notch is not reaching the mag catch. You need full size mags and not compact/officer mags.
