it ain't no glock. Don't fool yourself.
I told myself the same line for years.

gator, I can assure you that I'm not. I understand that glock has a huge fan club and I think it's great. I'm sure they are terrific guns. However, I don't care for the grip or grip angle on them; that's why I haven't bought one.

I just prefer the feel of the sigma. Mine works fine, and I shoot it quite well. If I develop problems, perhaps I'll change my mind.

As of now, I'm very happy with it.

I have had my Sigma 9VE for 3 years and have never had a problem with it. I love my G-19, but prefer the trigger of my Sigma for my main carry gun. I also carry a P-95 or a SP101.

Yep I got a 19. Won't ever sell it. A second generation one that
has a trigger Sigma owners can only dream about.
I can shoot the heck out of it, dirty or clean, and won't have an issue.

The sigmas I cannot say the same for.
I have come to the realization that they must be kept extra clean to
function well.
They are not trash, actually nice guns, but a lot of people buy them and
don't shoot them much so they dont know the negative.
The negative is light primer strikes and FTEs.

I think it can be resolved with prudent channel cleaning, but right now
I am undecided.
My gun is back at Smith as I type. That is my last Sigma, the other ones
I sold. Once it gets back I am going to put another few hundred rounds
downrange and see if the issues creep up again.

I still kinda like the Sigmas, every last one I have had is more accurate than my Glock. The machining is nice, the finish nice, the triggers can be
worked in a bit. So if they work, they are a steal at that price point.
But the reality is I buy handguns primarily for self defense.
With that said I will buy more old Rugers and Glocks. They just work under bad conditions.
Sigmas tend to burp a bit, at least my last 3 have.
A dirty Sigma not hitting a firing pin hard enough can get me killed.
