My son picked up a RSR 454, toklat, which is only supposed to be a limited 500 run for Alaskans. He wanted me to have it, as he knows I shoot a lot of custom Redhawks. Is this something that I shouldn't shoot? its a beautifully balanced gun, with the 5" slab sided barrel, and I really like the optional gold bead front, "V" notch rear sights. I would rather shoot one than collect it, but is this destined to be something special since they only made 500 or so?

I would shoot it, and enjoy it. Even if you did devalue it which I don't think you will, how much money could you possibly lose?

A pristine gun with all the papers and stuff, vs one that is unfired? Maybe $50 difference. If you could even tell them apart. Ed
