Just went to Shopruger.com and discovered that all their $2 parts, like screws and springs, are now $4. Most other parts looked unchanged although the number of parts available seems to continue to decrease.

RSIno1 said:Ruger is in the business of selling new complete guns. Parts are a pain (inventory, stocking, storage, employees to fill orders, shipping, time lost on phone with "I need the doohickie that attaches to the thingamabob" etc). They would rather you buy screws and springs elsewhere.

Great deal if you're in business and will have a need for that many. Sending one or two to someone for free, even though it's probably good for business in the long run, is more than unit cost. In addition to postage, you must consider what your time is worth - especially if you're really busy at the time.
