I have this one on the way . It is unfired with no box and I got it for the same price what a used blued high number is going for . It is going to be shot so box is not a big deal to me .

I only have 1 stainless OA,, and it's a reverse rollmarked gun! If you got a good price on a "normal" OA,, then shoot it & enjoy it!
As for boxes etc,, as noted,, some are quite rare & valuable.

#644 & 646 posted info here,,, VERY interesting...!

I agree

lovemydals, Does 644 have a reverse cylinder rollmark?

I'm not a collector and have held off shooting 646, then I saw 644 show up, my luck 645 will come out of the woods and then I will feel the need to bring the sisters together again, and not shoot em.

lmd, That is real interesting #644 No RRM, we don't know on 645, 646 Yes and 1140 Yes. I don't have any of my references w/ me but for some reason 500 guns w/ the reverse roll mark is in my head. There is the range +/-1. 645-1145, or 646-114? just a speculation/ obsevation on my part.

Contender, would you mind sharing your RRM OA sn#?

Maybe not a good speculation because the gun pictured on the service manual #878 ? is correct.

Kinda hijacking this thread on a variation but I do enjoy the education and input on the Old Army.
