I have a RST-6 200th Yr pistol with original box that I picked up over the weekend. The pistol is about 98% condition, but the box was torn to allow the lid to be folded underneath the box for display purposes by the seller (dumb idea). Does anyone have a sure fire way to repair/restore boxes? I would like to avoid using tape to keep the box from tearing any more. Thanks!

Those era boxes are quite "generic" with the only changes being the stick on label which will mysteriously fall off when attacked by a hair dryer.
So, if your label is OK then just shop for another like sized box. If your box has the "printed on" label then just find another like sized box and remove it's label.

Let me know as I have a couple of those "era" boxes in the dungeon....but, IIRC, most are for long barreled Blackhawks, but, maybe.......
