I received a text from Dennis, aka lovemydals, telling me that he and Terry aka Terry T, both from California would be driving up and displaying at this show. Since it's in my neighborhood so to speak, how could I not pay them a visit?

I had a great visit with these very knowledgeable individuals, and as always, they both had incredible displays. In addition to some sales tables, they both displayed their Ruger themes. Dennis displayed Ruger Old Army's, and Terry displayed his Ruger 1911's. In both cases, we lose track of just how many variations there are.

In no order of importance, and apologies for my phone-photography and duplicate photos, let's start with ...

Terry T and his 1911's...

Wayno,

Indeed it was a great visit. Thanks for coming by. And Thanks for posting the photos.

If anyone in Ruger Forum Land collects Garands, the first rifle from the top in the rack is as follows;

Early Gas Port example Springfield M1 Garand, s/n 75xxx, .30-06 cal., 24" barrel marked "S'-A 9-40", parkerized finish, walnut stock with early large Ordnance wheel SA/GHS cartouche and trap in butt, correctly restored with early parts. Includes correct flush nut rear sight. Keystone recoil spring is a modern reproduction. Formally in the James E. "Mac" McCullum collection. Condition is very good retaining approximately 80%-85% thinning parkerized finish to metal surfaces. Op rod appears to have been refinished at one point. Stock with moderate scuffs, bruises, oil darkening and minor losses. Action remains crisp, bore is fine.
