Two powders that I have hadgoodresults with 230gn plain lead bullets n a 45ACP Blackhawk are CFE Pistol and GreenDot.
I found 6.0gn of CFE was a pretty accurate, but full power load in my Blackhawk convertible.
With Green Dot, 5.0gn seems to give a low 800-830fps load in my gun.
