New Ruger Scout in 450 Bushmaster

Just brought her home. Range is going to have to wait until next weekend, but I'm looking forward to getting the crap beat out of my shoulder.

Optics are Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 Scout Scope V-Plex

You know, recoil of the 450 BM isn't too bad. I put a Limbsaver pad on my rifle and it really tamed it down.

Your stock pad looks pretty decent.

I'll find out this weekend. I need to get a limbsaver for my AR, but yeah the stock pad on the scout seems like it will be much better.

Enjoy! I remember my first shot with my Ranch in 450BM. Had my hearing protection in for the second shot…. Couldn't have been shooting a .22 when I forgot, nooooooooo…..

I quite enjoy the scout scopes. I have a .44 lever carbine with one mounted as well.

I could mount a standard scope on the Ruger Scout (the included rings are for that configuration), but with a 200 yd effective range, I feel the scout scope is a better option.
