Well if I lived in the boonies in Alaska-maybe in 45-70. But I would have to put a paper bag over my head for fear of being laughed at by Bullwinkle and Smokey.
True - It's actually more practical for those weather conditions. Also probably lighter than wood and surely lighter than the resin infused plywood stocks Ruger seems to like so much.
For those whose states are banning the AR platform maybe Ruglin will offer a magazine fed lever action in .223. A 30 round lever would be a fun gun.

I think S&W or Colt developed a pump action AR in 5.56 for countries that banned the semi-auto AR.
