As a member who has not been on the forum for many years, I am hereby reintroducing myself by reporting my purchase of a new Mark IV Standard 6". I've had many guns but wanted to get back to basics with a true classic .22. I have liked the look and feel (I previously had a Mark III). To improve the looks, I have installed a set of Cocobolo wood grips. After unnecessarily being concerned that the screws weren't long enough for the slightly thicker grips, I see that the bottoms both slightly touch the magazine foot on both sides, making it necessary to give the magazine an extra firm push to get it to fully click in place. Looks like there's going to be a little sanding to take place. Otherwise, the grips look and feel great, especially the right-side thumb rest. Happy to be back in the Ruger family.
