In the past- another country.
Anyone do any biz. with "Long Hunter" shooting supplies down in Texas?

http://www.longhunt.com/web/

I have been checking his site looks like he does a good job inspecting- tuning and selling Vaqueros for a reasonable price.

Been thinking about ordering a New Vaquero from him. Last N.V. I ordered from a on line vendor- had loose trigger and hammer pins, cylinder scouring issues etc.

Seems he checks them out though and will do custom work- install super black hawk hammer etc.

Perusing purchasing one from him for a going away present for myself.

Retiring and heading east to Arizona or some other free state.

Any info appreciated. :)

thanks!

I have had quite a bit of dealings with them. I will personally say that they have been fantastic to work with. The quality of work is second to none.

I worked with a Uberti Patron that the shop had gone through.
They know what they're doing.

Jim doesn't have much to do with the shop nowdays, doesn't work there himself, hasn't in quite a while.
Just an FYI.

The quality of the workmanship is fully up to his standards, but don't expect to talk to him if you call.
