I'm ready to attach a scope base on my Mark III Hunter Pistol and am wondering if I should use red or blue LOCTITE.

I realize the manual recommends red, but I would prefer to use blue. What are you opinions/experiences?

Thanks in advance. :)

If you clean/degrease the bolts and threaded holes, blue should give you plenty of strength.

It'll also come apart a lot easier, should you (or the next owner) decide to do so.

Blue. I used it on my MKll Competition when I mounted a scope. Tastes change and I mounted a red dot that fit in the rear sight dovetail and removed the mount. Now I'm about to mount the scope back on it. I like things easy that work. Blue works!

Greetings,

I used blue on mine, and it's still good, after many years of shooting. For what it's worth.... Take care, and God Bless!

Every Good Wish,
