I'm a big fan of Accurate #9 myself. My late mentor convinced me early in January 2011 to start out with two powders that would get me started with handgun loads .... Unique and A2400. Considering the time in history, being a just little less "stressful" than today, A2400 was no where to be found around here. So looking at the manuals I found that AA#7, like Unique, would work for both 9mm and .357 mag that I was starting with, so that's what I initially bought. Later was able to get that 2400, but also found that AA#9 was real close in performance (and load values) ... since then (2012) I've developed the habit of keeping 5-6 cans of AA#9 in reserve instead of 1 or 2. Works extremely well in my .357 mag and .44 mag Rossi R92 leverguns ... and gets "tested" in them at least once a week. I also keep a good stash of the other AA pistol powders, AA#2, AA#5 and AA#7.
