401 Bobcat conversion

We just finished this 401 Bobcat so I thought I'd post a photo:

It's the 1.40" version and I'm pleased with how it balances. While never a factory option, 6.0" on the nose has become my favorite length (for both Blackhawks & Bisleys).

I just pulled the backstrap and am sending it to Cary Chapman for a set of claro walnut. I'll post updates when it returns.

Looks great! Hey if you sell me one of your guns you could buy some 22 magnum shells!

Can you post a picture of some of the ammo when you show off your new grips? I haven't heard of 401 bobcat before...

Thanks. I designed the 401 Bobcat back in 1994. It's based on 220 Swift brass with the original being 1.29" in length. A few years later I extended it to 1.40".

The 3rd and 4th cartridges in this line-up are the aforementioned Bobcats:

What Lee didn't mention is that this revolver was built over the weekend! The Martins don't mess around!
