Single-Sixer
I think I got a random set of magazines with it instead of the two 7 rounders
in stainless that the Ruger web site says come with that model. One of the
ones I received is a stainless with a floorplate that indicates its made by
ProMag and accepts 8 rounds and the other one appears to be a ProMag
since its floorplate looks identical to the stainless one
but it lacks the ProMag imprint that the stainless one has and it only accepts
7 rounds. So my question is, does ProMag make the Ruger SR1911 magazines
or does Ruger itself? I've looked at the ProMag website and it didn't seem
to offer a clear answer; for anyone who knows the answer, your help will
be much appreciated. Since the provenance of the two magazines I got
with the SR1911 is questionable as to total round count, etc., I have
acquired a pair of Chip McCormick Stainless 8 round Power Mags as my
EDC.
