AS many of you know, Roy Fishpaw whom many considered the Dean of American grip makers passed away this fall. Rob Rowen of Rowen Custom Grips was a friend of Roy's and learned more than a few lesson form Roy. When Roy died, his wife still had a few of Roy's personal guns to dispose of and Rob helped her find new homes for them. Rob knows I am a 41 fan and Roy's personal deer hunting revolver is a converted old model 41 with a ProPoint red dot sight. What is special about this gun is not only was Roy's persona hunting revolver but it wears a pair of very unique French walnut grips that Roy made to fit his hand. While Roy had slightly larger hands than I do, I can make it work! I was fortunate enough to be able to buy this gun and due to its history, it is one of my most cherished guns.

Have a Blessed Christmas my friends!
