This pains me to list, but we are buying a house on a few acres, and I am getting Down payment money around. This rifle has been a favorite in my personal collection for years. a Lovely pre-warning #1, Earlier checkering pattern, has a box, the ser# on the box is really hard to read but looks to be different than the # on the box. I THINK i have the scope box too if it matters

This rifle is a profound shooter, 1.25" at 100yds with Hornady Lever ammo, probably better with a tuned handload. Trigger is fabulous. Wood is sound, no distractions wood or metal that stick out to me.

Rifle only $1050 shipped
ADD the Nikon Monarch African 1-4x with German #4 style reticle for $250

Happy to Text or email more pics, uploading is a pain on here for me

I've owned 2 of these early 45/70 #1's & they are fantastic rifles. As you can see they have amazing wood on them & you can load them far beyond a normal 45/70 in that #1 action & do it safely.
I won't mention my loads here but you're looking at basically a short 458. Great gun at a great price.
