I think the full underlug on the L-frame guns would be a problem.

I don't remember who made these holsters for S&W, but they are some of the finest made, and some of my most favorite holsters.

Different makers at different times, I think. Gould and Goodrich made them for a while. Most of the S&W holsters I have owned or examined are of excellent quality, but I have seen some they made that looked good at a glance but were actually not even leather; some kind of vinyl or similar. I have this exact same holster which I bought from Happy and it's a winner - home to my 2.5" model 66 S&W.
