I picked up a number one three years ago in 7mm-08 really nice wood, not a caliber would usually buy, but it lasted on the shelf at the store longer than I had restraint. Does anyone know how many were made in that caliber. Appreciate your help. thanks Bob

The 91 number I heard from picketpin many moons ago.
Anybody ever hear from him? Miss his inputs and hope he is ok....

Picketpin is doing fine. I saw him about a week ago. He lives off the grid and in the winter he's only in town a couple of times over the winter. He's constantly having computer problems because of where he lives. I deer hunted with him last fall.

Glad to hear Ross is ok. Last time I talked to him his wife was about to have knee replacement surgery. That's been quite a while!

Good to hear Ross is doing OK.

As for the OP's question, there was a recent run (a few years ago) of the 1A in 7-08. They produced quite a few of them, but it's anyone's guess as to just how many. These are obviously black pad guns with (usually) very plain wood.

The much more rare and uncataloged red pad version was made in the late '80s/early '90s. the number is less than 100 by all accounts.
