mark std a54 frame

i recently purchased a used ruger mark std serial # 24xxx and on disassembly found prior owner had ground down inside the frame where the receiver sits - never seen this before - i would like to get a A54 frame to replace it - this is not a collector item just a shooter - i have looked on the internet and don't see anything so just checking if anyone here has or know someone who has an old A54 frame

Wonder why he ground it down

I have no idea - only thing I can think maybe it was hard to remove the receiver/barrel - it still shoots but it is not right- I would like to correct if possible

It's in very good condition but it's been polished, so in the white. Purchased from a gunsmiths estate. If you'd like pictures, send a request to [email protected]
