Dressing up my old flatgate

A couple of years ago I bought this Single-Six Flatgate that had a horrible set of grips someone made out of pine. I've been trying to find another set of grips to replace those pine ones, but when I've bought replacement grips they were never for the old model XR3 frame . So I've been hesitant to buy grips since. A couple of weeks ago Tellico put up a set of grips for sale. I watched the ad for a couple of days until he pulled the ad. I sent him a pm and he sent me the grips for a reduced price. Well they fit perfectly. Thanks Fred.

I got them here somewhere, I took them off when I got a set of XR3-RED grips that a guy at a gunshow said were XR3 grips. I modified those a bit, but they weren't a good fit, but still looked better than the pine ones.

Looks good now!

I wonder how much the premium is for the XR3 Spruce Goose grips?
