Missed an Old Army in box this weekend

Seller at the gun show had two Old Armies. Both blue and apparently in great shape. One was complete with red & black cardboard box with papers and priced at $525 (out the door). I didn't buy it immediately but took care of some other business. When I decided to take it home, it was gone. BOTH were gone. Apparently the same guy bought both right after I left. Apparently my interest in them prompted him to buy. Sad.

Instead, I bought an early Colt New Service 44-40.

$525.00 is a good price today. Won't be long before they bring 1K,,,, 5.5 " have already passed that mark.

Wouldn't mind having a nice 44-40 New Service myself.......just have too many irons in the fire. Will have to be content with that 1917 :?
