Will an OM Blackhawk bbl fit a NM? Need a quick answer...

I'm no expert on the variations between old and new model blackhawks; will an old model barrel fit a new model blackhawk? Gun in question is a 1978 .357, barrel is from an Old model flat top .357...Working a trade with another forum member and need to be sure...thanks!

I have put a OM 357 barrel on a 357 50th Anniversary before. I guess I should add it was a 6 1/2" and had to be set back to clock the ej housing screw. The barrel was shorten to 4 5/8" and the ej housing refit for length.

Yes! Old model and new model, and mid frame and large frame barrels interchange and have 11/16"-24 threads per inch. The only few exceptions are the Hunter models with barrel ribs.
