Got a KP85 recently. On the decocker it has MK11R. I know that the MK11 means the firing pin/safety recall was done, but what does the R designate? Ruger can't tell me. Thanks!

I sent mine back many years ago during the recall, It's been a long time and I don't own the gun anymore but I believe that "R" mark means that it was sent back and factory modified during the recall and not a new model MKII.

I think R stands for recall.

Correct,
Just like the "R" they stamp on the bottom of the cylinder frame on Old Model S/A's sent back for the "safety conversion", only you have to remove the grip frame to see it on those.
