Ruger p85 issues

Got a shooter p85. Test fired today... With proven magazines. And good quality ammo. The issue is every few shots the spent case won't eject so it jams.

Is this an indication of worn recoil spring or something else?

Check your extractor tip to ensure they are grabbing the brass correctly. That's a small area that can cause such problems.
Also,, check the ejector to see if it too has a chip out or broken at all.
