Yeah, you might want to verify that LOL.... I don't use Locktite and it hasn't come loose.
My guess is that the scratches are from test firing. The barrel won't look pretty for long when you starting putting zingers down range. I would live with it unless it looks like someone was trying to engrave something in the barrel.
