I have always like the SP DAO's. The only input I would have to the links that hittman posted is that the SPNY serial number range is odd. The SPNY that I own is 570-55432. It is outside the range shown. I don't know if it is considered brushed stainless or target grey.

I don't do it very often, but I did trade a nice Model 36 for a NIB LCR in 9mm. I like the LCR much better.

I finally got to shoot the new rifle this last weekend. I paired the .308 with a Nikon Prostaff 3x9 and everything went well. The magazine functioned well despite how it feels. I am not a great 100 yard shooter, but this combo made this 1.1 inch group seem easy. :D

I agree with the price. I think it is the best $350.00 dollar rifle on the market. I am looking at the Nikon scopes, but am not sure which to go with the Buckmaster or the Monarch series.

I did a trigger job on my SP as well, but it won't get really good until you put about 1000 rounds thru it. I have a DAO with about 2000 rounds down range and the trigger is very smooth now.
