Happened to me once with a Sig 228. Sold it off and about 8 years later, picked one up in a store. Lo and behold, it was the same one.

It's stamped El Paso 4" K Frame on the back. I'm not certain that it is the same El Paso as El Paso Saddlery. It's not really a maker's mark. Just plain stamped letters. It's fairly old.
I cut it down and dressed the muzzle end so that it fit the 3" better.
I've owned a number of sourdough pancakes and a couple of cattlemen. The cattlemen is not really a conceal type holster, but it is a wonderful field/open carry holster. That's where it really shines.
The pancakes with IWB straps work great for conceal carry. Even a 5.5".
