I am looking at getting a rifle in 223. I have narrowed my choices to a Ruger Scout rifle in 223 or a 527 carbine in 223. Any experience on either one would be appreciated. Thanks

It would be a Security Six for me. As already stated you can get a GP anytime and any place that sells guns. I also think it wouldn't be my choice for concealed carry. I use a LCP for that.

I just obtained a like new Ruger Mark 11 in 308 with open sights. That is one good looking rifle.

I just purchased a Ruger RS in 308. I'm looking forward to its arrival and a shooting session it. I will keep you posted. You sure don't see many Ruger rifles with iron sights for sale.

I wish Ruger would offer more of their rifles with open sights. I think they would offer hunters more options and could be handy if your scope was damaged or broken at the worse possible times. What happened to the RS and RLS models? Maybe it's time to bring these back for a time to fill in...

Has anyone put a size Ruger M77 stock on a Compact Ruger M77. I'd like to put a full size stock on a 223 Compact barreled action. I think it would be a very nice setup. Any thoughts or experience doing this?

How does the accuracy of the GSR compare to other Ruger 308 rifles? I am thinking about purchasing one and I'm also looking at an RSI 308, and RS 308. I'm looking for any advise you may have.

If Ruger doesn't make a 9mm 1911 I wish someone would produce a 9mm conversion unit like the 22 conversions. My Marvel 22 conversion is very acurate and I see no reason someone couldn't make a fairly accurate 9mm conversion for the 1911 format.

I prefer flat over arched. I had one arched mainspring housing on a Colt many years ago and I changed it to a flat as soon as I could and was very happy.
