Mus408.....I have a 1976 SBH that came from the factory with .0105" of barrel/cylinder gap and it "spit" so bad that people on either side of me at the range complained about the particles hitting them badly. I promptly called Ruger about it and then sent the revolver back to them for repair...

I have a Weaver scope mount on my Super Blackhawk. I installed it in mid 80's. I also found that batter's resin dusted inside the scope rings prevented the scope from moving. Never have a bit of trouble with it and I have run some very heavy loads(240gn Hornady Silhoutte bullets @ 1500+fps)...

merlin1274..........I have a SBH exactly like yours...Pachmyrs,Mag-na-ported,Weaver scope base and rings,and a Leupold 2x scope. Wouldn't trade it or change it in any way....LOVE it!!!! Good luck.
